High St Xray Proud to Support the National Lung Cancer Screening Program

High St Xray is pleased to announce our involvement in the Australian Government’s National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) — a new initiative aimed at the early detection of lung cancer in eligible Australians.

Lung cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related death in Australia, and early detection is key to improving outcomes. This national screening program offers eligible individuals a bulk billed, low-dose CT scan, helping to identify lung cancer at an earlier, more treatable stage.

Who is eligible?

You may qualify for a bulk billed screening scan if you:

  • Are aged 50 to 70 years
  • Have a long history of cigarette smoking
  • Do not have symptoms suggestive of lung cancer

A doctor’s referral is required, so please speak to your GP or specialist about your eligibility. If appropriate, your doctor will arrange a referral for a screening CT scan at High St Xray.

Low dose CT Scan appointments are available Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 5:30pm.

At High St Xray, we are committed to supporting our community with accessible, high-quality diagnostic imaging. We’re proud to be contributing to this important public health initiative and helping improve outcomes for people at risk of lung cancer.
